Binyu Xu graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Television & Film Production at the Communication University of China. Now he is a fashion video editor at Harper's Bazaar Beijing and a graduate student in the Master of Digital Media program.
In 2018, Binyu worked as a design intern in Netease Beijing, assisting other designers and editors in branding and visual documentation.
Binyu worked as a Media Specialist Intern in Beijing LGBT Center from 2018 to 2019, concentrating on LGBT rights activism in China on social media and collaborating with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in the project for the recognition of gender identity and inclusion of transgender people.
In July 2019, Binyu's interactive experience installation, Project Fermi Paradox, was displayed in the Han Art Gallery in Beijing.
During the study in MDM, Binyu is focusing on the optimization of the design process and improving design skills to build a better bridge between the human and the digital world.
