Courtney Clarkson is an Information and UX Designer with a Bachelor's degree in Communication - Information Design from Mount Royal University in Calgary, Alberta.

Courtney is passionate about inciting social change using immersive technologies. During her capstone project, she designed an app that introduces the public to urban wildlife through AR. This app was showcased at the 2019 Alberta EcoTrust Environmental Gathering and won her the Excellence in Information Design award from Mount Royal University.

Courtney has worked with clients across sectors, such as advertisement, environmental consulting, government and transportation. In her recent UX Design Internship at Critical Mass, she gained experience designing wireframes, developing prototypes, and presenting directly to clients such as Nissan USA.

During her time at the Centre for Digital Media, Courtney is looking forward to taking her digital storytelling to the next level. She hopes to build on her knowledge of AR, VR, and installation design to create impactful experiences and push the boundaries of digital media as a UX Designer.
