Emma Konrad

Emma completed her undergrad in Journalism at Carleton University as well as a post-grad certificate in Scriptwriting at Algonquin College.

While initially focusing on print media in her undergrad, she discovered her passion for storytelling through digital media after having the opportunity to work in TV, radio, and online platforms. Inspired by the diverse opportunities of digital storytelling, and wanting to learn more, she competed in a beginner coding competition and was awarded a scholarship to Flatiron’s online coding program.

While tackling this program, she also worked as the sole communications person at Ottawa Riverkeeper, a charitable organization. While there, she created and fostered the voice of the charity, managing their rebranding, revitalizing their website, and developing their online presence.

Through her recent experiences, she has learned the fundamentals of graphic design, game design, and project management.

Her goal with the MDM program is to become a well-versed professional by gaining hands-on experience from the challenging projects and industry work. Upon completion, she plans to continue telling stories in unique and innovative ways, ideally as a Game Designer.
