A multi-talented project manager with a passion for intelligent interactive experiences and ‘wing-it' filmmaking.
After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor's degree in Emergency Planning and Disaster Management, Soud spent the next 10-odd years working as an international projects manager in a top-5 MENA financial institution, where he helped organize, implement and support the roll out of end-to-end automatic banking systems for a network of 12 international branches spanning 800,000+ customers of all wealth segments.
Somewhere in between all that, Soud developed a voracious interest in filmmaking and the application of the principles of cinematography to emerging digital experiences. He spent a year teaching himself filmmaking, video editing, compositing, sound design, game systems and game design while thinking of ways to combine both fields to create lasting experiences.
Soud hopes to one day take over the world using movie-games, but also be a generous ruler who bestows the gift of free entertainment to all.
In the meantime, however, he is setting his sights on creative collaborative projects with the impressive talent pool of the Centre for Digital Media and the Vancouver film industry in general.
