Master of Digital Media Program

The Master of Digital Media (MDM) is Canada’s first professional graduate program in digital media. Offered at the Centre for Digital Media in Vancouver BC, this intensive program with internship engages students in real world projects and coursework that provides valuable leadership experience, training, and top industry connections.

The application system for 2013 is closed. The application deadline for September 2014 start is February 15, 2014.

Digital media is an industry flourishing worldwide and MDM graduates are in demand. In British Columbia alone there are over 600 digital media and entertainment technology companies (60% in Metro Vancouver) employing more than 16,000 people and generating $2.3 billion in annual revenue. Our Academic Partners

The MDM degree is accredited and awarded by four major Canadian post-secondary institutions: the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. MDM graduates receive a combined master’s degree bearing the seals of all four partner institutions.

Faculty

Our faculty are experts in their respective fields, and due to the MDM program's high student-to-faculty ratio, students interact closely with instructors in the classroom and through each stage of their industry projects. MDM Program Curriculum

The MDM program curriculum is intensive, experiential and project-based. Following a semester of challenging coursework, students work in small interdisciplinary teams with faculty and mentors on industry-supported projects (See our featured industry projects). Students also complete an internship in their final semester, and can choose from a wide range of electives offered on- and off-campus.
