Code Live, an 18-day, landmark event with visual art exhibitions, music and performances fueled by digital technology and audience involvement, will be held at three venues. Code Live 1 at Great Northern Way Campus is the perfect destination for expansive installations, late-night concerts and dance experiences such as:
- Paparazzi Bots (Ken Rinaldo, United States): Camera-carrying robots give the audience 15 minutes of fame.
- Vested (Don Ritter, Alberta, Berlin): Put on a very special vest and take an architectural world tour.
- Dune 4.0 (Studio Roosegaarde, Netherlands): Walk through a pathway of LED lights that react to your every move.
- Eco-Art (Brendan Wypich, Ontario): An artwork creates a symbiotic relationship between a fully automated greenhouse and the single orchid it houses.
Academic partner, Emily Carr Univeristy of Art and Design will play host to Code Live 2 and the Vancouver Public Library will be reserved for Code Live 3.
