MDM Student’s Artwork Makes the Top 10 List of Canucks Goalie Mask Design Contest

MDM graduate student Elmar de la Cruz's totem-inspired design made the Top 10 List of the Vancouver Canucks Curtis Sanford Mask Design Contest

Out of the more than 300 entries, submitted from around the world, de la Cruz’s artwork was ranked in the top 10 by none other than the Canucks Goalie Curtis "Sandman" Sanford. The "Sandman" is a Canadian professional ice hockey goaltender who currently serves as backup goaltender for the NHL’s Vancouver Canucks.

As part of the contest, the public is invited to pick their favourite Top 10 design.

Vancouver Canucks goalie CurtisSanford has finally selected a mask design.  The winning entry was based on a pencil sketch by Kirk Carr, a fisherman from Mission.Congratulations to Kirk.
