New Scholarship Opportunities Available For Students Of The Americas
MDM Program Joins Organization of the American States (OAS) Consortium of Universities
Vancouver, BC (December 16, 2009) - Thanks to an agreement between the MDM Program and the Organization of American States (OAS), scholarships are now available to students from the Americas interested in joining the Masters of Digital Media (MDM) Program. The generous MDM/OAS scholarships are valued at a maximum of $30,000 US for a period of up to two years and includes a teaching position which may be renewed in subsequent semesters. Students from the United States, Central America, South America and the Carribbean with an undergraduate degree in Computer Sciences, Fine Arts, Communications, Engineering, Business and other related fields of study, are eligible to apply.
The 2011-2012 call for MDM/OAS scholarship applications is now open. Students who wish to pursue this innovative, multidisciplinary Master’s Degree in Digital Media and are nationals or permanent residents of a member state of the Organization of American States (OAS) can contact their National Liaison Office for application instructions and deadlines.
The OAS, comprised of 35 member countries in North, Central and South America and the Carribbean with an additional 63 permanent observer countries from around the world, is committed to promoting regional development through the expansion of educational opportunities.

The MDM Program offers a graduate degree in digital media and interactive entertainment combining industry-relevant curriculum, team-based projects and real-world experiences. This powerhouse Master’s degree is conferred by four of the top post secondary institutions in British Columbia: the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Emily Carr University of Art + Design, and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. MDM students hail from Canada, Saudi Arabia, India, China and Mexico.
