The Masters of Digital Media (MDM) Program will make available two entrance scholarships for outstanding applicants to the second cohort that starts September 2008. The first year scholarships are $10,000 each and will be based on extraordinary merit, one in the field of Visual Arts & Animation, and the other in the field of Computer Programming / Engineering.
All students who apply to the MDM Program will be automatically considered. As such, applicants will not have to fill out an additional form specific to the scholarship.
“We are very excited about the announcement of these scholarships,” said Dr. Gerri Sinclair, Executive Director, Masters of Digital Media Program. “We are offering an opportunity for talented and extraordinary individuals to take their expertise in digital media to a level that was previously unattainable through an educational facility. This program will give graduates the skill set and experience necessary to become leaders in this field. Graduates will be instrumental in shaping where digital media goes over the next decade – and in creating a legacy of communication through technology.”
Applications will be reviewed by the MDM Selection Committee, a panel of experts consisting of representatives from all four partner institutions and industry leaders, and MDM Faculty. All decisions by the judges are final and not open to appeal. The awarding of these scholarships is a one-time event and is for entrance level students (first year). The scholarships are based on extraordinary merit and are dependent on applications meeting the criteria set forth by the judging panel and the MDM Program executive.
