Thomas Petitjean | faculty
Thomas is a Lab Instructor at the Centre for Digital Media. He teaches IDEA-X students about user-centered design, rapid prototyping, agile, and scrum. He graduated from The University of Nottingham in 2014 with a BSc in Management.
Thomas has over 3 years of experience in the digital media industry. He started working as a front-end developer which allowed him to develop key technical skills in web programming. He then worked as an independent search engine optimizer for e-commerce and e-business clients, focusing mainly on technical on-site optimizations.
His latest industry experience was working as a project manager and SEO consultant for Altima, a global digital agency founded in Lille, France. During that time, he managed different e-commerce related projects, such as the design and development of in-store mobile applications and e-commerce websites, for well established brands in the luxury industry and the travel sector.
Thomas completed the Master of Digital Media in December 2017 and has since been working as a full-time faculty member at the CDM. Thomas and Bill Zhao are working closely to make IDEA-X an internationally recognized course. They are both committed to sharing their passion about agile, user experience design, and collaborative design.
In addition to teaching the IDEA-X program, Thomas has had the opportunity to further develop his SEO skills by optimizing Centre for Digital Media’s website.
