Adlan Arvyanda Ramly | student
Adlan is a multidisciplinary creative technologist who has 4 years of experience in User Experience Design, Game Development, & Human Computer Interaction Research.
He received his bachelor's degree in Information Systems Design & Development from Pennsylvania State University, University Park in 2018. Collaborators from his previous work experience include: The Smithsonian Institution, Havas, IBM, Toge Productions, Niantic Labs, & NYU. He previously worked on 2 published games: Coffee Talk & She and The Light Bearer as a UX Engineer Intern which both of the games have won several awards & showcased in multiple worldwide conferences & game journals. His personal project, ExplorAR: A Collaborative Augmented Reality Game Platform for Museums, got published as a paper in CHI 2018 under Asian HCI Symposium in Montreal, Canada & got selected as a Finalist for Niantic's Beyond Reality Developer Competition.
Other than his work experience, he has been active in the tech community as well. He wrote multiple case studies on Medium which got published in UX Planet, Prototypr.io, & The Startup. He moderated for discussions in IGDA DC 2019 & XR Access 2020. He also ran workshops related to UX Design & Unity Development with Google Developers Group & Gojek in Indonesia.
Adlan aims to bridge the gap between people's needs & their technology with user research, push the boundaries of present technology by creating experimental interfaces, and unite people of all backgrounds by crafting engaging experiences.
Upon the completion of the MDM program, he hopes to work as a UX Designer for emerging technologies and games. Later in the future, he hopes to start his own independent studio which focuses on game development & experimental research that focuses on emerging technology & human computer interaction.
