Alex is a software engineer who loves to work on technical design problems in new areas of technology. He has studied cognitive and computer science at UBC where he received his BSc.
He has spent three years working in the video game industry in Vancouver. Alex worked with Demonware, a studio that provides online infrastructure for Activision Blizzard. He has also been a part of the video game startup Blackbird Interactive. There he worked on AI, gameplay programming, tools development for the upcoming title Homeworld : Shipbreakers.
Alex plans to develop the soft skills at MDM to develop projects beyond gaming. In particular, he wishes to work in areas where technology can be applied in solving social problems.
