Sara Khalili | student
Sara is a filmmaker and art director who loves to share minimal stories through animation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication form University of Tehran and a Master's degree in Animation from Tehran University of Art. She has been an independent student in Drama therapy and Film Studies programs at Concordia University in the Fall of 2017.
Sara has been an instructor in Tehran University of Art for several years and has worked on experimental animation, scriptwriting, improvisational studies, etc. She has published her research in a few articles and has presented in the Society for Animation Studies conferences, Canterbury (2015), Singapore (2016) and Montreal (2018).
Sara has directed 7 short animations and has written a few animation scripts for TV series and short animations. She has supervised numbers of animations made by her students in Iran, plus a few animation workshops for children and youth in Iran and one in Croatia. She has been engaged in a few animations as the pre-production head and art director.
Sara's goal with the MDM program is to focus on the interactive and XR spaces, as well as getting connected to the animation market and film industry in Canada.
