Richard Waller

Richard qualified as a Chartered Accountant and followed this with 17 years of International Banking experience in London, Hong Kong and Chicago.

Moving to Apple Computer , Richard was Controller for the European Consumer Division before moving to Tokyo for seven years as Senior Director, Finance for the Japan Region.

Latterly Richard spent 3 years as the Chief Financial Officer of Nexon Japan, the Head Office of the company that pioneered Free-to-play, item purchase online games. In this position he had a close involvement with the accounting, tax and legal implications of selling virtual items across the world, as Nexon expanded throughout Asia and started operations in North America and Europe.

For the past year he has been involved in the games industry here in Vancouver. Richard is keen to make sure that games companies are aware of the financial issues that still remain too little understood even as online games continue to grow at a furious rate
