Valentina Forte-Hernandez

Valentina Forte-Hernandez received her Bachelor's degree from Hampshire College in 2016. At Hampshire, she combined her interests in studio art and computers to create interactive programming based art.

Valentina is interested in facilitating reciprocal relationships between art and audience. She is also intrigued by art as an ongoing process rather than a finished product. In order to explore these concepts she learned the python, arduino, and processing languages.

After graduating Valentina worked in IT at the LA based production studio, Gentleman Scholar. During this time she was also creating and exhibiting her art which was included in over a dozen shows throughout the United States and Mexico.

Valentina's enthusiasm for all things interactive has helped her develop a diverse set of computer and art skills. She is hoping that her time at the Centre for Digital Media will help her narrow her focus. She believes that the project oriented approach to learning will point her in the right direction towards the part of the Digital Arts industry she is best suited for.
