With support from The Law Foundation of British Columbia and the Access to Justice framework, on the BC Human Rights Tribunal website, how might we make it easier for both complainants & respondents to find specifically relevant cases & extract info in a quick & easily understandable summary. Users should be able to find other similar cases to educate themselves on how the legal system operates (e.g. likely progress, timeline, outcome, etc), and educate themselves on what type of evidence they need to gather in order to make their case stronger and more credible.

The B.C. Human Rights Tribunal is an independent, quasi-judicial body created by the B.C. Human Rights Code. The Tribunal is responsible for accepting, screening, mediating, and adjudicating human rights complaints. The Tribunal offers the parties to a complaint the opportunity to try to resolve the complaint through mediation. Respondents have an opportunity to respond to a complaint and to apply to dismiss a complaint without a hearing. If the parties do not resolve a complaint and the complaint is not dismissed, the Tribunal holds a hearing.
