Annita started her career in marketing and communications but has stayed true to her design background throughout. She is an UX designer and graphic designer with over 7 years of experience in the public and not-for-profit sectors in Ontario. Most recently, she was the Marketing and Communications Coordinator at the Canadian Women’s Foundation, overseeing all design deliverables and graphic assets, enhancing the Foundation’s brand, and raising their bar for fundraising capacity.
It’s not always easy to translate ideas into a polished final product— especially someone else’s ideas— but Annita has consistently proven that not only can she translate design ideas, she can execute them into a final product fine-tuned to clients’ needs that far exceed their expectations. She understands the wants and needs of clients and is a master at adopting brands as well as designing brands.
Annita graduated from the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Linguistics. She completed the Ontario College of Art and Design University’s Digital Media Skills Certificate and continues to learn and apply coding languages whenever she can. She joined the Centre for Digital Media’s MDM program to refine her project management skills and learn about emerging technologies. In particular, she is interested in utilising digital media to support language revitalization and learning.
