Any use of the website or its contents or both (collectively: "Website") hosted by Centre for Digital Media ("CDM") is subject to the following terms and conditions. Use of CDM’s Website is conclusive evidence that the user has read, understood, and accepted the following terms and conditions. If you do not want to accept the following terms and conditions, do not use CDM’s Website.

Liability

Each user of the Website expressly accepts all risks and consequences, whether direct or indirect and whether known or unknown, associated with or resulting from such use.

Each user of the Website expressly accepts that CDM is not responsible for and expressly disclaims any responsibility, whether express or implied, for the accuracy, adequacy, or completeness of the Website or for the consequences, whether direct or indirect and whether known or unknown, of using the Website or any link from the Website to another website or its contents.

Each user of a Website expressly accepts that CDM does not assume any responsibility for the uninterrupted or error free operation of the Website or warrant or represent that the Website is free of viruses or other harmful components.

Each user of a Website expressly accepts that CDM is not liable, whether directly or indirectly, to any person or thing including without limitation any corporation, association, or trade union for any damages (including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages) arising out of or in connection with use of, misuse of, or inability to use the Website.

Each user of a Website expressly accepts that the Website is neither supervised, nor censored, nor moderated, nor approved by CDM. Each such user further expressly accepts that the Website may include links to other websites such as discussion groups and homepages, which may contain or direct the user to contents including the personal opinions and other forms of self-expression of third parties on a wide-range of topics, including controversial and sensitive topics. Each such user further expressly accepts that CDM neither endorses nor makes any representations to users of the Website about such contents. Each such user is, however, expressly warned that such contents may offend some users of the Website. Each such user who feels that they may be offended by such contents should stop using the Website immediately.

Cookies

Each user of a Website expressly acknowledges that they are aware the Website is an inherently public medium. Each such user expressly accepts that no guarantee of privacy is or can be made to users of the Website by CDM. CDM's Website uses cookies that collect anonymous traffic data to assist us with web analytics.

Google Analytics

The CDM Website uses Google Analytics to collect traffic information. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use our Website. The information collected by Google is used for the purpose of evaluating users’ Website activity

Google AdWords, Google Remarketing and Google Demographics and Interests Reports

We use Google AdWords, Google Remarketing and Google Demographics and Interests Reports technology. For measuring conversion with Google AdWords, a conversion tracking cookie is placed when a user click on a CDM ad. This conversion tracking cookie expires after 30 days and is not used for personal identification. The conversion tracking cookie allows us to review the performance of our ads.

When you click on one of our ads, a Google Remarketing cookie is placed, which helps to serve our ads to you at a later time. Remarketing cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification.

Data from Google's Demographics and Interests Reports (such as age, gender and interests) is used with Google Analytics to better understand and market to our audience groups. 

If you are uncomfortable and/or do not agree with our use of Google Analytics, you may opt-out. Using the Ads Settings, you can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads. You can also review Google Analytics' currently available opt-outs for the web.

Complaints

Each user of the Website expressly agrees that any disputes, claims, complaints or actions they may choose to advance arising from their use of the Website will be decided by the Courts and other Tribunals established under and applying the laws of British Columbia excluding the law relating to choice of law and forum convenience. Each such user further expressly agrees that they have attorned to the jurisdiction of the Courts and other Tribunals of British Columbia for the purpose of resolving any such dispute, claim, complaint, or action.

Conflicts and Ambiguities
