Israa obtained a bachelor's degree in Communication and Design from Bilkent University. She enrolled in courses involving multiple forms of media such as visual design, journalism, and film. She also participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program to study abroad at the Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Her undergraduate studies provided her with the opportunity to gain both practical and theoretical skills within the media field.
Israa's background includes agency and freelance Graphic Design experience. She started her career by working as a Content Producer at a Marketing and Advertising Agency in Bahrain. Her main responsibilities were graphic design and copywriting. She worked on projects for different types of clients from Bahrain and Oman, including hospitals, banks, oil companies, and food.
With proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, HTML, CSS WordPress and a range of other design and video editing software, Israa strives to create meaningful experiences and relationships between her designs and people. She believes it is important for technology to be user-friendly for everyone.
Through the MDM program, Israa wishes to further develop and refine her technical skills and work on projects involving User Interface and Experience Design.
