Mazhar Bagasrawala

Mazhar is a Product Designer & Art Director. He completed his undergraduate education from MIT Institute of Design, one of India’s premier design institutions. Through that time, he won four Adobe Design Achievement Awards, was nominated in CampusDiaries’ 25 under 25 as a young changemaker in the country, and has been featured online on DesignTaxi and CreativeBloq. Mazhar also wrote an article in Creative Gaga, a leading design publication.

After a couple internships in India, Mazhar worked under Swiss designer Ruedi Baur in Paris, France. Here, he designed information systems for cultural and political European organizations such as the passenger navigation system for Grand Paris Express, an expansion to the city’s metro network. Subsequently, he worked on the product design for India’s new-age general insurance company, Acko. At Acko, he established a visual design system, led the UI design on all digital products and worked on UX across the company’s functions.

Owing to his diverse background, Mazhar can offer an integrated approach to design within an organisation, combining strategy with creativity. This could range from core user experience within a product environment to orchestrating a short film or ad campaign. At the CDM, he wishes to build cool digital products along with the other talented cohort members. Mazhar plays the guitar & sings, and is keen on exploring electronic music production. One could often find him playing soccer, making photographs or tasting a new red wine. Mazhar loves languages and speaks four fluently, including French.
