Paula is a seasoned marketing professional with 15 years of experience working with leading top global and regional brand campaigns. Thanks to a comprehensive background in brand planning, project management, market research and innovation, she is highly strategic, organized, and creative.

Paula holds an undergraduate degree in communications and an MBA from the University of Costa Rica, as well as a market research certificate from the University of Georgia. She has international work experience in Brazil, Peru and Costa Rica, and is eager to start her journey in Canada.

Frequently recognized as a top performer, Paula has been a key contributor to million-dollar businesses. Her most recent position was as a Senior Brand Manager at Kimberly Clark Corporation creating communication and commercial strategies for U by Kotex across 16 markets in Latin America. She also holds experience with other prestigious brands such as Huggies, Cottonelle/Scott, Depend, and Bridgestone.

As a Project Manager, Paula has overseen complex product launches that represent over $70MM (USD) in sales, leading multicultural and cross-functional teams in high-pressure situations while respecting budgetary constraints. Paula prides herself on providing a supportive work climate for her teams, bringing positivity and a culture of trust and well-being to her teams.

Aside from her background in branding and project management, Paula is known for being a consumer-centric executive. Due to her strong background in innovation and market research, she has led the construction of innovation pipelines for several mass-consumption goods and has conducted dozens of studies – both qualitative and quantitative - across multiple countries.

During her career, Paula has seen digital media revolutionize all areas of the marketing profession. Thus, she decided to transition to the fast-growing tech industry as her next career milestone - bringing her to the Master of Digital Media (MDM) Program.

Paula’s goal during her studies is to gain experience in launching digital products by applying the latest innovative trends and technologies. She is also excited about learning from professors with outstanding accomplishments in the creative technology space and leverage the connections they offer. With this new knowledge under her wing, Paula is confident she will have a bright future as a Brand or Project Manager in one of the top tech companies in the world.
