Sumaer is a marketing and communications specialist who holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Delhi specializing in marketing along with a post-grad certificate in research methodology from the University of Dhaka. He also holds a Masters degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka informed by his interest in the interface between business, technology and society.

After graduation, he worked as the Lead Strategist at Boomerang Digital (now NotionHive) in its nascent stages. He was responsible for the planning and executing the digital media strategy and marketing for clients ranging from small startups in his native Dhaka, Bangladesh to Fortune 500 companies. Some of the diverse clients he worked with during his tenure at Boomerang Digital, include British Council, Reckitt Benckiser, Telenor Group, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Bata, Renata Pharmaceuticals, Golden Tulip Hotels and The City Bank Ltd. During this time, he worked with a diverse team of individuals from copywriters, graphic designers, UI/UX designers, web developers to create and deliver impactful marketing and engagement. This experience also helped him understand the fundamentals of design, copywriting and project management. 

His goal with the MDM program is to be a competent professional in his field by gaining hands-on practical experience working in industry projects. He wants to continue to hone his skillsets in marketing, communications and project management after graduation, ideally in the realm of digital media.
