Daryn is Computer Science student at UBC, with an interest in Game Design/Development and XR. He is also interested in projects that have positive social and positive environmental impacts, ideologies perhaps cultivated during his B.A. at SFU in International Studies.

Professionally, Daryn has worked as a full-stack Software Engineer intern for Ping Identity’s Vancouver office. Here, he worked on development on a Microservice for a web application used for Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM). He used React and Redux for front end development, and Java for back end API development.

At present, Daryn is finishing his final semester at UBC, where he spends half of his week at the Centre of Digital Media (CDM). Here, Daryn is working in a team along with four other CDM Master’s students to produce a proof of concept for a geolocation AR application. He lends his technical skills as a Computer Science student.
