Kian Hosseinkhani

Driven by a relentless curiosity, I thrive on solving diverse and complex problems, crafting innovative solutions, and advancing knowledge through research. Whether I’m developing software, pushing AI research forward, or creating impactful applications, my focus is always on making a meaningful difference. I’m especially passionate about bridging the gap between big-picture innovation and real-world implementation, transforming broad challenges into tangible results.

My professional journey began by providing software solutions for clients outside the traditional tech sphere, such as Mosaic, where I led interdisciplinary teams for over a year. During this time, I learned to adapt, solve problems creatively, and communicate effectively with diverse groups. Working alongside experts from various fields underscored the importance of cultivating a shared vision while ensuring every voice is heard and contributes to meaningful outcomes.

With a strong mathematical background and an analytical mindset, I have spent over a year working at notable tech companies like NetApp and RBC Borealis. At RBC, I transitioned into AI by taking on a role as a Machine Learning Engineer, where I developed AI-driven financial solutions. Currently, my focus is on AI research in computer vision at SFU, where I explore cutting-edge developments in the field.

Motivated by my fascination with the intersection of AI and gaming, I’m now broadening my scope to include the gaming and creative technology sectors at the CDM. This experience allows me to integrate technical expertise with artistic innovation, offering new perspectives on how to tackle multifaceted challenges across diverse domains.
