Qualifications

Candidates must be currently attending EAFIT. Note, your role will be a programmer on the team (unless a special exception is made).

Applicants must be pursuing an education related to computer science or digital media, such as game development, software design, animation, or web development. Unity and Unreal experience is not required but recommended. Students from the Systems Engineering (Computing Science) and Digital Design programs are encouraged to apply.

Application

Interested students should reach out to their EAFIT professor for the application form (Christian Díaz León, Andrés Sicard Ramírez, or Hector Camilo Alzate Ramirez).

Please submit your application form to your EAFIT professor by June 13 for the January-April intake and October 13 for the May-August intake.

You will be asked to submit your resume, portfolio/sample projects (if available), and transcript during the process.

The EAFIT professors will then submit their recommendations to CDM Student Services by the following deadline:

  • For January - April intake: June 30
  • For May-August intake: October 31

Successful candidates will be invited to an interview. CDM Student Services will reach out to schedule interviews during the following times:

  • For January - April intake: July 1 – Aug 15
  • For May-August intake: November 1 – December 15

Please note that you do not need to submit an official English language test score as part of your application. However, strong English language proficiency is essential for this practicum, as you'll be working collaboratively with peers who demonstrate a high level of English proficiency.

Selection will be based partly on fit with the students/projects available at CDM and partly on interviews. We will do our best to match accepted students to projects that best match their career goals (though all projects are relevant to any area in digital media), but we cannot guarantee particular topics, tools, teammates, or other details of the project.
