In this 6-week online course, you'll build the awareness and practical skills to understand different perspectives, navigate cross-cultural interactions, and communicate with confidence across diverse teams. The next cohort begins in October 2026.
Through real-world case studies and applied learning, you'll build practical skills you can apply in gaming, film, digital media, technology, and beyond.
Build practical skills in three key areas:

Tina Merry

Tina is a Cultural Intelligence (CQ) facilitator, CEO and co-founder of Simply Sweet Games, and a games industry leader with more than 20 years of experience leading global teams. She has managed international production environments across Europe, North America, and Asia, bringing deep expertise in cross-cultural collaboration and communication.
In this course, Tina will share practical, real-world strategies to help professionals navigate cultural differences, strengthen collaboration, and communicate with clarity and confidence in today's diverse workplaces.

No. This course is beginner-friendly and designed for working professionals in creative and technical environments.
Is this course online?
Yes, it's fully online. You'll attend one live Zoom session per week and complete self-directed activities between classes.
What’s the weekly time commitment?
Expect to spend 5 hours per week total, including the 1-hour live session and asynchronous assignments.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes, upon completion of the course, you'll receive an industry-recognized certificate from Centre for Digital Media, in partnership with DigiBC and Simon Fraser University
