With seventeen years of experience in entrepreneurship, Angela Hamilton is always on the lookout for ideas that can change the world. She is an Entrepreneur in Residence with entrepreneurship@UBC, where she leads the CORE Venture Stream, providing training and resources to early-stage entrepreneurs. She also leads e@UBC's Social Venture Studio, which provides community opportunities and education to founders in the social-impact space.
Angela heads up Inkstone, a writing consultancy she founded for entrepreneurs and artists with great stories to tell and no time to tell them. She also co-founded Quupe, Vancouver’s sharing-economy platform, which was a top-ten New Ventures BC startup in 2018, and Supersnack, a New York City-based organization that produced benefit events and fundraising campaigns for AIDS charities in New York and D.C. A keynote speaker and instigator-about-town, Angela also serves as a venture consultant with Shred Capital and is pursuing an Executive MBA at Simon Fraser University (graduating 2024).
Angela previously served as a venture coach and EIR at the CDM, from which she graduated with an M.D.M. in Digital Media in 2017, as a member of the C10 cohort. She also holds an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri, and she previously worked as a digital news editor at McClatchy’s Washington bureau, along with stints at Men's Health, Sony Music Publishing, the Museum of Modern Art, and Polo Ralph Lauren. Angela's undergraduate degree was in theatre, and she has performed onstage up and down the Eastern seaboard.
