Yi moved to Vancouver after graduating from Fudan University. Her undergraduate major is psychology science. In her spare time, she is passionate about design. She is self-taught in UI and UX and successfully designed the website for a start-up company named Duifene. She realized that her psychology background could help her succeed in experience design. Her empathy and interview skill provide her better understanding of users and enable her to design enjoyable experiences.
Yi chose the MDM program to deepen her understanding of experience design and to develop more hard skills about experience design. She is exciting to meet classmates from various background and observe how experience design works in various industries like game design, website design, service design, branding, etc.
Beyond studying in MDM, she perseveres with her dancing classes every week. While dreaming to be an excellent UX designer, she also wants to be an amateur dancer.
