Manni Zhang is a 3D and 2D animator. She graduated from Emily Carr University with a Bachelor of Media Art. During the time in Emily Carr, Manni focused in 2D animation and created her tool box included layout making and video editing. After graduation, her interest shifted to 3D techniques thus she went to Sheridan College and took the Computer Animation program for another year. Manni graduated from Sheridan College with honours, and her graduation film, “Today’s Special”, was selected into the Oakville Festivals of Film & Art. This summer, she participated in the “Bird Brain” project that formed up by Stephen Barnes, a professor of Sheridan College. As an 3D animator in the team, she experienced the process from early stage platform testing to final compositing. Instead of doing animation, she also does illustration and jewelry making as a freelancer.
With the great passion of animation, she came to CDM to explore opportunities as an animator within the digital media world.
