Santiago Sotomayor | student
Santiago completed his bachelor's degree in Visual Arts with emphasis in Graphic Design at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, Colombia.
While he focused mostly on print media in his bachelor's degree, he soon discovered his passion for designing games that entertain and inspire people. At the end of his degree, he co-founded Mad Bricks, a mobile video game studio. Since then he has worked as a game, UI/UX designer and has also developed coding skills while creating hyper-casual game prototypes in Unity 3D.
One of Mad Brick' published games, Ekko; Occlude the Void was featured globally as Game of The Day in the App Store and has won several mentions and awards including 1 of the 15 finalists of Google Play LATAM Indie Games Festival 2018. In 2019, Mad Bricks studio was selected to be part of the Google Indie Games Accelerator.
Santiago's goals with MDM are to broaden his knowledge of the business around the digital media industry and create a substantial network around it. He is also interested in improving his game developing skills by gaining experience working on practical projects thought the program.
