Jessie Gao

Gao graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Nanjing Arts Institute in China, majoring in Radio and Television Directing, where she learned about digital media. Gao also gained software experience with AfterEffects, Final Cut Pro, Shake, Premier, Flash, and 3D Max. During school, she learned how to manage a team and deal with team member relationships. Gao was not only a professor's assistant, but also a leader in a well-known film association at her school. She and her partners made some brilliant videos. Actually, she is good at teamwork. For one year, she worked part-time at an advertising company as a designer, where she proved good at planning Real Estate Advertisements. Gao later became a volunteer at a local television station, where she interviewed guests and wrote articles, and then on to post-production. Gao has won prizes during her studies, including for a Nestle coffee advertisement, which received “Honorable Mention” in China's Third Undergraduate Students Advertisement Creation Competition. Her final project was a documentary, entitled “The Oar, the Tea and the Water” awarded third prize in the “WANGLUOSHEN program”.
