Bin Tong was born in and grew up in Hangzhou, an attractive city located in East China. He is an interaction designer who is currently pursuing his Master's Degree in Digital Media in Vancouver, Canada.
Before joining the MDM program, Bin had obtained a bachelor's degree in Economics. However, he found his true passion somewhere else, the magical world of digital media. Bin started to break into the tech industry by writing the stories of startups and behind-scene talents. After one and a half years as a tech journalist, he decided to turn his role from a storyteller into a builder.
Therefore, Bin joined Teambition, a startup company that was acquired by the tech giant Alibaba in its later days, as an early member. He played the role of the UX writer, Interaction Designer and Product Manager, and found his true destiny of crafting the user experience. He not only participated in designing the main products of the company, including a web app, an Apple featured iOS app and an Android app, but also has experience in creating a new product Thoughts from the ground up as the sole interaction designer.
Bin has always been open to exploring new possibilities. Now, he is developing his backbone skills in CDM, learn and collaborate with students from multidisciplinary backgrounds to build products and make the world a better place.
