Janette is a digital product designer who focuses on user experience and business value. Previously, she was an entrepreneur.
She completed her bachelor's degree in Creative Cultural Industry Management and minored in Philanthropy Management at Beijing Normal University. During university, she graduated as an honour student. In her extracurricular time, She ran small businesses and volunteered in charitable projects.
After graduating from the university, she initiated her own company and created a shared education project, the project receives 500k seed funding from angel investors. At the same time, she worked as a project assistant and served around 6k underprivileged children across the poorest rural Chinese provinces in Shanghai Adream Charitable Foundation, which is consecutively ranked as the No.1 transparent foundation in Forbes China.
Her previous experiences have led her to understand that no matter building projects for business goals or non-profit goals should focus on understanding users, and technology can efficiently bring values to a project. So she was determined to explore her education in CDM, where she can gain experience in the digital industry.
In CDM, she worked as a UX designer in both website and app products and crafted products based on the context.
