Peter has 4 years of experience in interaction design. After graduating from University of Alberta with a bachelor degree in design, he started his design career in tech start-ups mainly focused in social media and online shopping businesses. Peter was able to participate in projects as more than just a UX designer. He sometimes played a product manager to brainstorm the next coming features. He sometimes acted as a marketing coordinator to assist operation plans. But mostly, his job is to deliver meaningful and intuitive experiences to his users. The early career shaped Peter into a multidisciplinary designer and a team player who values the beauty of cooperation.
With a solid knowledge of the digital world, he then joined Tencent to design and optimize the structure of a game streaming platform. His international background helps him to deliver the right design solutions to North, South America and European gamers. What’s most comforting for Peter in this role is providing an enhanced experience for millions of users through his design.
Peter wishes to bring out more meaningful digital experience in his future career but it requires a broadened vision. He believes the future of interaction design will heavily rely on augmented reality technology and he is looking to explore more on this topic through the MDM program.
