Walid Uz Zaman Khan is a user experience and visual designer with more than 9+ years of experience in brand identity, digital products, 3D visualization, and creative communication. At MDM, Walid focuses on learning new skills and refining existing ones for application in a broader and forward-looking market.
After finishing his undergraduate studies in business administration in Bangladesh, Walid went on to found his design studio and creative agency in 2013. Throughout this time, He has worked in creative communications, graphic design, user experience (UX) design, packaging, brand identity, interior and furniture design, and motion graphics. Walid worked with the telecommunication, finance, and consumer goods industry to create user-centric digital products. A few of his most notable projects include designing the self-service platforms of two of the largest Telco operators in Bangladesh and designing the first insurance app in the country with the largest private insurance company in Bangladesh. His work over the years has convinced him of the potential of digital media experiences for creative professionals.
Walid strongly believes that creating great design needs a keen focus on the user and a refined process. He's a big fan of the works of great designers like Jony Ive, Dieter Rams, and architects Zaha Hadid, Bjarke Ingles, and Louis Kahn. He seeks inspiration from these designers and tries to incorporate their design philosophies and learnings into his work.
Interests and Hobbies
In his free time, Walid loves to engage with and experience different design disciplines including architecture, furniture, and automobiles. He loves to play LEGO with his son and travel with his family to scenic destinations. He also loves to experience food from different regions and sometimes tries his own luck at cooking as well.
