Xinlin Yang


Xinlin Yang is a 3D artist and game operator, he holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Computer Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Xinlin has long held a passion for creating cohesive and engaging video game environments. He has many valuable skills in this field including 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rigging.

Xinlin is proficient in Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Marmoset, Unity, and Photoshop as well as other Adobe products. He also uses Excel and PowerPoint in order to operate the games with other team members.

Xinlin has worked at Tencent as a game operator, and was responsible for the revenue of the SLG games like Game of Thrones Winter is Coming and Red Alert Online with the operation team. Each game has an annual revenue of more than 300 million USD. He also worked at an indie game studio called Mokuni LLC in NYC and developed several mobile games like Ostrich Among Us, Reinbear and other casual games. Some of the games are recommended by the App Store.

Xinlin's goal with the MDM is to complement the skills and industry experience with additional education and collaborate on projects with students focused on other areas of game development and who have different skills, experiences, and backgrounds. They could enrich creativity and push Xinlin to approach problems from new perspectives.
