Mikayla is a second-degree computer science student at UBC. Her first degree was in Psychology with a focus on cognitive science from the University of Manitoba. Her main interest areas are human-computer interaction and user experience. Her development experience is primarily in web development, but she is open to trying new avenues. In addition to coursework, she has worked as a student employee for Farm Credit Canada's Customer Digital Experience team as well as their Analytics and Applied Insights team. She has performed both academic and industry research in the areas of cognitive psychology, human-computer interaction, and user experience.
