Please submit an expression of interest to your professor by September 8 for the January-April intake and February 6 for the May-August intake. CUPT faculty will then submit their recommendations to CDM Student Services by the following deadline:
- For January-April intake: End of August (of the year before the intake).

Successful candidates will be invited to an interview. CDM Student Services will reach out to schedule interviews during the following times:
- For January-April intake: mid-September
- For May-August intake: mid-March
Students will be asked to submit their resume and transcript during the process.
Please note that you do not need to submit an official English language test score as part of your application. However, strong English language proficiency is essential for this practicum, as you'll be working collaboratively with peers who demonstrate a high level of English proficiency.
Your peers would have met one of the following minimum English language requirements when they applied to our program:
- IELTS Academic: An overall band score of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each section.
- TOEFL: A minimum score of 100 with no less than a score of 20 in each category.
While we don't require you to provide official confirmation of your English proficiency, please understand that effective communication is crucial for your success in this practicum.
Selection will be based partly on fit with the students/projects available at CDM and partly on interviews. We will do our best to match accepted students to projects that best match their career goals (though all projects are relevant to any area in digital media), but we cannot guarantee particular topics, tools, teammates, or other details of the project.
