Mobile UX + Huawei
Back to ProjectsOver the course of the semester, Team Unknown is exploring next-generation interface concepts for mobile devices. Acting as an embedded creative partner, our team is supporting the client’s visual and experience design efforts by ideating and prototyping future-facing interaction models for core smartphone touchpoints, including system navigation, personalization layers, and media engagement environments.
The project focuses on speculative yet feasible approaches to interface design that merge visual innovation with emerging technologies. Our work investigates how advanced motion design, generative and AI-assisted content, responsive systems, and playful interaction mechanics can enhance everyday user experiences while maintaining clarity, usability, and brand coherence. Our goal is to design interfaces that feel expressive, adaptive, and emotionally engaging, while remaining technically grounded and scalable.
Drawing on a balance of academic research and applied creative practice, Team Unknown is leveraging strengths across UX/UI design, animation and visual effects, interaction design, graphic design, and research. Through iterative concept development, visual exploration, and experiential storytelling, the project aims to envision how mobile interfaces may evolve to better reflect users’ identities, behaviours, and relationships with their devices in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
