Taslim Damji, MA, IDI QA (Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator), Intercultural Practitioner

Taslim has over 20 years of experience in the field as an Intercultural Consultant and EAL Instructor. Taslim focuses on connecting intercultural education and mindfulness in the classroom, community, and workplace. Her approach is grass roots and her goal is to help foster intercultural connection by providing safe spaces for dialogue and practical tools that are relevant and easy to integrate into daily life. She works to bring skills and confidence to navigate diverse spaces to a range of audiences and her work is rooted in her core values of mindfulness, empathy, inclusion, innovation and mentorship.

Dates:

October 7 to November 15
4 to 5 hours a week

This is a 30-hour long course and will run for 6 weeks. The course will be entirely asynchronous with moderated online discussions and 2 collaborative assignments. It is expected that students will spend around 4-5 hours per week on self-directed learning. Students are expected to complete course requirements on their own, but the instructor is available to address questions, monitor progress and provide formative and/or summative feedback.
