Lana is an educator with over 15 years of experience in student engagement, retention, and English as a Second Language in the post-secondary education sector. She is incredibly passionate about student success, engagement, and belonging and is someone who leads from a place of cultural acuity.
Lana comes to CDM from VFS where she led and managed a team of student services professionals to support a diverse population (50% international and 5% Indigenous) of over 1100 full-time digital-creative students.
Lana has prior experience in admissions, English language teaching and assessment, Indigenous community resource development, technology resource development, mental health and wellness, and student and alumni engagement. She also has experience with policy and process development and has built services to support lifelong learning. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology (UBCO), a TESOL diploma (Coventry House), and a Certificate in Business and Technical Writing (VCC).
