Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco Games is a leading video game developer and publisher based in Tokyo, Japan. Specializing in the development of home video games, Bandai Namco also produces games for mobile and arcade. Well known Bandai Namco games franchises include: Soul Calibur, Tekken, Katamari Damacy, and Naruto.

Bandai Namco is the product of a merger between Namco Ltd. and Bandai Co. that took place in 2005, bringing the game development talent of Namco together with the media properties of Bandai. In August 2013, Bandai Namco Studios Vancouver opened for the purposes of developing mobile games that will strike a chord with western game audiences. It is hoped that this collaboration with the Centre for Digital Media's Master's students will help to provide a jumping off point for this new studio's first projects.
