Graduating from the University of Washington’s Anthropology Department in 2007, Teoman moved to Istanbul, Turkey, and began working as a freelance editor and writer, starting with a business intelligence and consulting firm based out of London and Istanbul that focuses on frontier economies from the MENA region to East Asia. Teoman then worked as an online international news editor and business journalist for a variety of publications before joining the Foreign Relations Department at Takasbank, the Istanbul Stock Exchange’s clearing and settlement establishment. Teoman’s focus in the Masters of Digital Media program is to seek a creative medium to examine, model and narrate social and economic systems, as well as local and global trends.
