Dr. Krug is an associate professor in the Department of Curriculum Studies and a faculty associate with the Institute for Computing, Information & Cognitive Systems (ICICS), Media and Graphics Interdisciplinary Centre (MAGIC) at UBC. From 1993-2002, he taught at The Ohio State University and held an associate faculty appointment with the Advance Computing Center for Art and Design and the Center. He has been conducting research on digital media, the arts, cognition and learning since the early 1990s and has given keynotes at international congress' on these topics in Austraia, Brazil, China, Taiwan, New Zealand, and the United States. Dr. Krug's work has been supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada, Inukshuk Wireless Inc., the Getty Foundation, the Annenberg Foundation, and Arts21 and PBS (the Public Broadcasting Service) through a partnership with Davis Publications.
