Shahla started her journey with digital media and design in 2013, having done her BA in Creative Multimedia at Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in Malaysia. She was the President of her cohort, and also worked with the campus radio station and a number of multimedia projects. Following her graduation, Shahla worked with The Youth Company (a non-profit social enterprise) in Qatar as Communications Director, tackling events, products and programs targeting young people in the region. She also worked for The Look Company as a graphic designer, and helped brand a number of national sports events and corporate spaces. Her most life-changing experience was attending high school in Bali, Indonesia. She hopes to use her multicultural experiences to expand her leadership and collaborative skills with the MDM program, and learn how to thrive in the rapidly growing and changing digital media industry, particularly for the arts, entertainment, and information.
