Behnoosh Ashtari is an ambitious architectural designer with some years of working experience. Behnoosh holds an undergraduate degree in architecture from Tehran Azad University and a Master’s degree in interior design from California State University at Northridge. Behnoosh has been employed by several world renowned architectural and interior design firms in California. She has worked on many exciting projects and designed residences for well-known celebrities and industry leaders which helped her to excel with her design skills and creativity.
During these years, Behnoosh has seen how new digital technologies have emerged and revolutionized architecture. Over time, an increasing number of clients request to explore design options through virtual/agrumental reality and want to have a true impression of a particular room or building design as a whole. Behnoosh also realized there is so much potential for architects and designers with the knowledge of new digital mediums in the video game/animation and high-tech industry. Given the future competitive job market, as well as her background and experience in architectural design, 3D modeling/rendering, and her passion in application of digital media, Behnoosh decided to accept the challenge and shift her career path from traditional architecture toward utilizing modern technologies.
Behnoosh found that the kind of training offered by the Master of Digital Media program (MDM) is compatible with her career goals. She aims to gain theoretical and practical knowledge and work in different industry projects with focus on virtual and augmented reality. Further, given the core competencies of the program, Behnoosh is looking to advance her management and leadership skills. Finally, Behnoosh’s goal with the MDM program is to grow her professional network, meet numerous professionals and study with professors who are industry leaders with valuable networks. As for future plans, considering her background in architecture and the skill set that she will acquire during the MDM program, she is confident that will have an outstanding chance to take a design management role in video game companies or innovative Architectural firms.
