Kavya Satyakumar

Kavya’s inherent critical skills and proclivity to questioning the working of systems around her quite naturally propelled her into the world of design. While her undergraduate years introduced her to design from a visual communications standpoint, her professional experiences have been particularly diverse.

She began her career with Sesame Workshop in India, where she creatively directed and helped produce the company’s first independently produced set of mini digital games - ‘Cleaner, Healthier, Happier’, in collaboration with Qualcomm and the Gates Foundation.

From there, she entered the world of advertising with Dentsu Webchutney, one of India’s top digital agencies. Here, she honed her leadership & management skills, produced award-winning work and led the design team as the associate creative director.

It was at Dentsu Webchutney that she discovered her passion for developing products at the intersection of art, design and technology and their potential to effect change in human behaviour and perception.

At the CDM, she looks forward to developing skills and experimenting with new technologies to complement her creative and marketing abilities. As an advocate for design-thinking, she aims to create disruptive and innovative products with a focus on human-centred design.
