Tim Matindas is a digital marketing specialist holding a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC (University of British Columbia). Possessing a wealth of knowledge and experience in the advertising industry, he is an expert presenter and pitch material creator consistently able to bridge the gap between business and creative. Always a communicator at heart, he excels in managing interdisciplinary teams and maintaining trustful client relationships through ensuring successful project deliveries.
Tim started his career at EA Vancouver (FIFA 11) marketing before moving to Indonesia in 2011 to join a film production company as a Producer, generating funds via brand sponsorship. In 2015, Tim shifted to Ydigital Asia, a digital agency, and was responsible to create and execute digital strategies for the region’s industry-leading brands. Some of the clients he worked with during this time include Mattel, Under Armour, Rolex and FC Bayern Munich. Based on the strategies crafted and campaign executions led by Tim for Mattel’s Barbie Batik product launch, which included digital assets creation, paid media and video production, Ydigital Asia earned the Digital Agency of the Year 2019 Award from Marketing Interactive.
At the Centre for Digital Media, Tim is looking to develop core innovation skills and the network required to achieve entrepreneurial success in the digital space. It is Tim’s primary motivation to equip himself with the arsenal needed to create an impactful digital media product.
