Anya is a game developer who is currently working towards her Computing Science undergraduate degree. Despite being a student, she already has 16 months of experience in the professional game development sphere. She has industry-level experience with Unreal Engine 4, Unity, and virtual reality. Anya’s first internship was at Offworld Industries, where she was a programmer on a multiplayer first-person shooter Squad. The game focuses on realism and military-grade decision-making on a large map with up to 100 players. Her second internship was at Metanaut, where she was a VR Developer on their unannounced episodic VR project (and that’s about as much as she is allowed to say about it). She developed 26 different VR prototypes over the span of 8 months, and she learned quite a lot about quick prototyping in Unity.
Anya joined CDM as a visiting student and is excited to learn about client-based projects. While her primary career interest is in game development, she likes to explore her options. The more challenging, the better. She is similarly interested in the technical side of graphics and how extended reality technologies can be used for social good.
