Farhan is a a curious individual with a thirst for knowledge about developments in science and technology, with the aspiration to use technology to help society in ways such as reducing poverty or solving environmental issues. He has extensive experience as a web and mobile application developer, particularly in JavaScript/TypeScript with frameworks such as React Native and NodeJS as well as object-oriented programming concepts in Java. He worked at Celayix Software, Vancouver as a Javascript Web Developer and is now developing a mobile application with the UBC Digital Literacy Centre (project name: PhoneMe) for teaching poetry that is to be incorporated into language & literature classroom settings across Canada and abroad. He is hoping to direct his future career path into modern software solutions such as distributed systems, machine learning predictive modelling or database administration within the healthcare or education sectors.
